Views Overview
Infinity Creator allows you to customize, duplicate, and control views using the Views Menu.
Moving & Adjusting Views
Infinity Creator provides a drag-and-drop system to adjust your UI layout.
How to Move Views
- Click and drag a view’s title bar to reposition it.
- Drop it into dock areas to snap it into place.
- Resize views by dragging the edges.
- To float a view, drag it outside the main layout.
- Additional Views can be found and added from the Views Menu.
Commonly Moved Views:
- Node Graph & Visualizer – Adjust based on workflow.
- Inspector – Expand when working with detailed properties.
- Logs – Keep hidden or docked based on need.
Creating Duplicate Views
Some views can have multiple instances to improve workflow efficiency.
How to Create a Duplicate View
- Open the Views in the Menu Bar.
- Locate the view you want to duplicate (e.g., Inspector, Logs, Node Graph).
- Click the View.
- A new instance of the selected view will appear.
- You can now move, resize, or dock the duplicated view anywhere.
Use Cases for Duplicate Views:
- Keep multiple Inspector views open to modify different objects.
- Have two Node Graphs for different systems.
- Open an extra Log View to track different debugging areas.
Managing Views Using the Views Menu
The Views Menu allows you to open, close, and control all views in Infinity Creator.
How to Open & Close Views
- Click on the Views in the Menu Bar.
- A dropdown will appear with a list of available views.
- Check a view to enable it, or uncheck to hide it.
Key Views You Can Toggle:
- Visualizer – Real-time preview of procedural systems.
- Inspector – Modify object properties.
- Node Graph – Core procedural workflow builder.
- Toolbox – Drag & drop procedural nodes.
- Hierarchy – Scene structure & objects.
- Logs – Debugging information & warnings.
- Asset Manager – Manage imported assets.
- Noise – Your view for noise manipulation.
Restoring Closed or Hidden Views
If you accidentally close a view, you can restore it from the Views Menu.
How to Restore a Hidden View
- Open the Views Menu.
- Find the missing view in the list.
- Click to add it to the window layout.
tip
If a view doesn’t reappear, try resetting your workspace layout via Workspaces > Default Layout.
Docking & Floating Views
Infinity Creator allows you to dock views into fixed areas or float them as separate windows.
Docking a View
- Click and drag the view’s title bar.
- Drop it onto a docking region (left, right, top, bottom).
Floating a View
- Click and drag the view outside the main window.
- The view will now act as a floating window.
- Useful for multi-monitor setups.
Resizing & Customizing Views
Views can be resized to fit your workspace.
How to Resize Views
- Hover over the view’s border.
- Drag the resizing handle to adjust the width/height.
